Nuwa Wamala Nnyanzi

Nuwa Wamala Nnyanzi is a God-taught visual arts practitioner/Consultant of international repute who didn't attend a formal art school before successfully venturing into visual art practice. He holds an MA. Design (Professional Practice) with distinction from Middlesex University, UK.
In 1992 he founded and runs to date Nnyanzi Art Studio, a studio/gallery of contemporary and antique African art in Kampala, Uganda.
Nnyanzi is a culturalist; an art collector, dealer and promoter,  poet, creative writer, strategic plan facilitator, public speaker, psycho-social therapist, as well as a visual social and cultural commentator.
Nnyanzi's art, which is biting social and cultural commentary on issues that affect society and it is widely described as "The art that touches the heart" by both critics and admirers.
Nnyanzi in the 1990s when Ugandan music and theatre were facing stiff external competition he helped local celebrities get name recognition, respect, space and airplay in the mass media by organising successful high profile concerts and shows.
He is the vice-chairperson of National Arts and Cultural Crafts Association of Uganda (NACCAU).
Nnyanzi serves on a number of National committees responsible for culture, creative industries, tourism and hospitality.
He was state minister of Internal Affairs and later on Arts and Social Welfare of Buganda Kingdom from 1992 to 2002.
